About the Role

The Account Executive Trainee program is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals ready to break into tech sales. You’ll receive hands-on training, personalized mentorship, and real-world experience as you learn the fundamentals of full-cycle B2B selling.

Starting with our Fleet & IT Solutions team, you’ll master prospecting, client outreach, and technology audits. As your skills grow, so will your responsibilities — from managing your own territory to running the entire sales cycle and preparing for future leadership roles.


What You’ll Do

  • Prospect for New Business: Identify and connect with potential clients in your territory through outbound calls, emails, and face-to-face outreach.

  • Consult with Clients: Conduct document and technology audits to understand business needs and recommend tailored solutions.

  • Learn the Product Suite: Gain deep knowledge of POA’s hardware, software, managed print, and IT solutions.

  • Build Relationships: Develop and grow a book of business through consistent outreach and exceptional service.

  • Train and Develop: Participate in daily team huddles, ongoing workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions to build your skills and confidence.


Your Career Path

  • Step 1 – Account Executive Trainee: Focus on fleet and IT solutions while building foundational sales skills.

  • Step 2 – Account Executive: Take ownership of a territory and run the full B2B sales cycle.

  • Step 3 – Field Sales Manager: Lead your own team, mentor new hires, and shape the next generation of sales talent.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (not required)

  • 0–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, leadership, or related roles

  • Background in athletics, student organizations, or other high-involvement activities is a plus

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

  • Highly motivated, competitive, and driven by results


Compensation & Benefits

  • W-2 employment with unlimited commission potential

  • First-year OTE: $60,000–$70,000+, with top performers reaching $100,000+

  • Non-recoverable draw provided during ramp to guarantee income as you build your pipeline
